There were will be 5 to 6 rest stops along
the trail so make sure that you bring ample
food and water for the day. Because of the
high altitude it's recommended that you
drink more water than usual. Your supplies
can be packed into the saddle bags that we
provide.
Your guides on the Continental Divide Ride
will be experienced mountain horsemen who
are well acquainted with mountain trails and
will make sure that your group has a
memorable and safe day. They will provide
you with as much information as you would
like about the area and the Park, and can
tell you before the ride starts, what to
expect on the route. If you have any
questions before you start on the ride, you
should consult your guide. He will be able
to answer questions regarding the extremes
that you will meet, both in weather and
trail conditions.
You should bring your camera for fantastic
photo opportunities along the trail!
This is an experience that you'll long
remember; a once-in-a-lifetime event during
which you'll form a bond with those who ride
with you. You will travel on the same trails
that have been used for thousands of years.
Ute and Arapahoe Indians once crossed these
mountain passes seeking elk and deer. Later
came mountain men, trappers and prospectors.
You'll have a feeling that you've stepped
back into the past on this timeless ride.
Upon completion of the 26-mile journey,
you'll feel a great sense of accomplishment
and satisfaction. You also have a renewed
respect for Mother Nature and deep
appreciation for this nation's most
beautiful national park.
Cost is $170 per person and includes saddle
horse, guide, use of a raincoat, incredible
